Unlike an attainment test, which examines what a child has already been taught in subjects such as English or mathematics, a reasoning assessment explores how they approach unfamiliar information and solve different types of problems.
The assessment produces a profile across four principal areas:

This is not a formal review of medical or clinical evidence unless specifically agreed.
3. Secure online cognitive abilities assessment
Your child completes a standardised digital assessment under agreed conditions.
The assessment examines verbal, numerical, non-verbal and spatial reasoning. Full instructions are provided before the appointment, including information about the required device, internet connection and assessment environment.
4. Professional interpretation of the results
The results are reviewed from an educational perspective, including:
performance across the four reasoning areas;
relative strengths;
differences within the profile;
age-standardised scores and comparative indicators, where provided;
factors that may have affected performance;

7. A 60-minute parent consultation

Your child completes the assessment online under the agreed conditions. The precise duration depends on the child’s age and the assessment level being used.
Step 5 — Professional analysis
I review the results alongside the contextual information you have provided and prepare the Educational Profile and Action Plan.
Step 6 — Receive your report
Your written report is provided securely before or in preparation for the parent consultation.
Step 7 — Discuss the findings
We meet for a 60-minute online consultation to examine the results, answer your questions and agree practical next steps.

The service is available to families in the UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Europe, the United States and other international locations, subject to scheduling and assessment suitability.
Children educated internationally may have experienced different curricula, languages, teaching approaches and expectations. These factors matter when interpreting any assessment result.
Where a child speaks English as an additional language, the verbal results must be considered carefully within that linguistic context. Non-verbal and spatial tasks may reduce some language demands, but no assessment should be interpreted without considering the child’s background and experiences.
