Services for Schools
Strategic Education Consultancy for Schools, Wherever You Are
Every school has its own context, priorities and challenges. JLW Consultancy provides practical, evidence-informed support to schools in the UK and internationally—helping leaders strengthen systems, develop staff and translate strategic priorities into sustainable improvement.
Consultancy can be delivered remotely, on-site or through a combination of both, depending on your school’s requirements.
How School Consultations Work
Most initial consultations are delivered through Zoom, allowing school leaders and relevant staff to access focused professional support wherever they are located.
Before the consultation, you can contact me by email or WhatsApp to provide background information and raise any initial questions. You will also receive a short information form so that you can explain your school’s context, priorities and intended outcomes.
Where relevant, you may be invited to share documents such as:
-
school improvement plans;
-
curriculum documentation;
-
policies and procedures;
-
assessment or performance information;
-
self-evaluation materials;
-
inspection feedback; or
-
existing strategic plans.
Providing this information beforehand allows the consultation to remain focused, productive and relevant to your setting.
During the consultation, you will have the opportunity to:
-
explain your school’s context, strengths and challenges;
-
clarify the issue or priority requiring support;
-
examine relevant systems, information and documentation;
-
consider different strategic and practical options;
-
identify realistic actions and responsibilities; and
-
agree clear next steps for implementation.
Depending on the service selected, support may also include written recommendations, document reviews, bespoke resources, action planning, staff training or agreed follow-up meetings. The individual service description will explain exactly what is included.
Remote and On-Site Support
Remote consultancy provides schools with convenient and flexible access to professional support without unnecessary travel costs or disruption to the school day.
Where face-to-face work would be more effective, I can also visit schools by arrangement (where possible, this will be outside of working hours, during unsociable hours in the UK, and on weekends and during holidays internationally). On-site support may include meetings with leadership teams, staff consultation, curriculum or systems reviews, professional development and strategic planning.
Longer-term or more complex projects can combine remote meetings with on-site visits, providing continuity while keeping the work efficient and manageable.
